CUSTOMS REGULATIONS
HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND PERSONAL EFFECTS
- Used personal effects are not dutiable in Japan.

To clear customs we require:
1. clear copy of passport ( bio-data page, Japan visa page and last entry stamp page
2. Original Japan Customs Form ( C#5360) which is obtained on aircraft when arriving in Japan and must be stamped by Customs on arrival at airport.
PROHIBITED AND RESTRICTED GOODS

Goods prohibited from entering Japan include firearms, ammunition, pornographic material, satellite dishes, short wave radios, narcotics, or subversive literature or materials.
MOTOR VEHICLES (AUTOS AND MOTORBIKES)

Most pets, including dogs, cats, and birds, can be brought into Japan will be subject a 14 day quarantine period. The documents necessary at the time of import are a current health certificate (not more than 7 days old) and a current vaccination card. A copy of these documents must be scanned or faxed to JVK at least 10 days prior to arrival.
- The shipper must be in Japan at the time of clearance.
